1 Who we are and what we do

ASIB is a licensed insurance broker in the Kingdom of Cambodia. We do not underwrite insurance. We act on your behalf to source quotations from, and place policies with, licensed insurance companies. The insurer — not ASIB — bears the risk and pays valid claims under your policy.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use our services. By using the site you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to act for any other persons named in a quotation or policy.

3 Quotations

A quotation is an indication of premium based on the information you provide and the insurer's current rates. It is not a contract of insurance.
Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation and may be withdrawn or revised by the insurer at any time before payment.
Cover does not start until the premium is paid in full and the insurer confirms acceptance of the risk.

4 Duty of disclosure

You must give complete, accurate, and truthful information when requesting a quotation, completing a proposal form, or making a declaration (including health declarations). Non-disclosure, misrepresentation, or fraud may entitle the insurer to refuse a claim, void the policy from inception, or cancel cover. ASIB is not liable for the consequences of inaccurate information you provide.

5 Payment

Premiums are payable in the currency stated on the invoice, via Bakong KHQR or other payment methods we make available.
Cover and policy issuance are conditional on receipt of cleared funds.
Service fees, taxes, and stamp duty (where applicable) are shown on the invoice.
Refunds, where due, are made in accordance with the insurer's cancellation terms and may be net of broker fees and any earned premium.

6 Issuance and delivery of policies

Once the insurer accepts the risk and payment is received, we will arrange issuance of the policy documents and deliver them to you by email or another agreed channel. You are responsible for reviewing the policy promptly and informing us within 7 days of any discrepancy.

7 Claims

We will assist you in notifying the insurer and progressing your claim, but the decision to accept, reject, or settle a claim rests with the insurer in accordance with the policy wording. ASIB does not guarantee the outcome of any claim.

8 Cancellation and changes

You may cancel a policy or your broker appointment in writing at any time. Cancellation may attract short-period or earned-premium charges set by the insurer. Changes to a policy (endorsements) take effect only when confirmed in writing by the insurer.

9 Our role and limits of liability

We exercise reasonable skill and care in placing your insurance. We do not warrant that any specific insurer will accept a risk, or that any specific premium will be available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ASIB's total liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the brokerage commission we actually received in respect of the relevant policy.
We are not liable for the insolvency of any insurer, for losses outside the scope of the policy you purchase, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

10 Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
Use the site to infringe the rights of others or to violate any law.
Interfere with the operation or security of the site (including unauthorised access, scraping, or attempts to bypass authentication).

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

11 Intellectual property

All content on the website (text, logos, layout, quotation and policy templates, software) is owned by or licensed to ASIB. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent, except for personal use of documents issued to you.

12 Third-party services

The website may use third-party services (e.g., payment processors, hosting, analytics). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

13 Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge that Policy.

14 Communications

You consent to receive service-related communications by email, SMS, or phone using the contact details you provide. You can update these details at any time.

15 Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of Phnom Penh, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections.

16 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
